I am so DANG tired this week I can hardly function. I get off work late come home and Shea is still awake and crying. "What in the world is going on?" I asked. "Mom, my door has teeth and wants to eat me!" Shea says in between crys. "That's crazy doors are wood and monsters are not real." I told her.
Shea is one of the best easiest kids to get to bed and she sleeps 13 hour nights so this is crazy! What should we do? One night she feel asleep in our bed and I moved her to her room. One night I slept in her bed for 3 hours and every few minutes she'd say "oh no do you see the teeth?". So Wednesday we moved all her furniture around added a rail to both sides of her bed so she can't see her door directly from her bed. Wednesday was fabulous! Slept through the night and woke up happy. Then last night I was up and down with issues of my own and every time I'd walk past the door in her room her nightlight would be turned back on. She said "It still has teeth and the light isn't good!" "What the light isn't good?" "Yea I want it on but then the door gets mad." We turned the light off and I laied with her again. She snuggled me, rubbed my face, brushed my hair with her fingers, and said "AHHH this is much better" Kids are funny!
