Baby update.

Sorry this will be another stressful post... I went to the Dr. today and my blood pressure was 186/90. So fun, fun they are testing me for pre-eclampsia.
The boy is still measuring a bit big and so they are also testing for gestational diabetes. My tests should be in my Monday and they'll be seeing me again next Friday.

We are hopping the blood pressure spike is from the stresses that are my life at the moment.
As you may have read I've been working a ton. Also yesterday while heading out to drop the girls off at my mom's the high wind (49mph) knocked Shea right off our porch and she bruised her bum. While driving to my mom's I almost got ran off the road by a driver, Then about 5 minutes before I left my mom's house to go to work my dad shot himself in the hand, yes with a gun, and yes by mistake. (since there was only a door between me and the accident) It caused a shock to my heart and ears when the gun went off that I will probably never forget. He's doing better and will need surgery but we are hopeful he'll get function back soon. I then still went to work and clocked another 6 hours.

AND THE DOCTOR WONDERS WHY I HAVE HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE!! :)

Updates!

Here's my work update for those of you who have asked when are you done? Are you going back? Etc?
So, the last few weeks I've been feeling much better unless I work a double then my legs scream at me when I finally sit down. I've been picking up more and more shifts knowing that the day is going to come where baby says "no more mom!" So until then I'm working a ton to put money away so I can stay home and really bond with the lil' fella.

As far as going back I will need to go back to work a month or so after the baby but the hope is it will only be one or two shifts a week for a while... the other change will come is that I'll work nights again instead of days so that the little man always has mommy or daddy. I have never worked with a new baby so I am mostly feeling guilty but really in this economy I'm happy to have a job where they are excited to have me come back.
I've worked 18 hours in 3 days this week! (I know right your mouth hit the floor?!) As many of you know serving tables is a long time on your feet, lifting trays full of food, filling huge buckets of ice, and never stopping to take a breath. I'm feeling good and hope to take my break in April to nest and rest!
Another update I am off my one true love that never lets me down and always is welcome to touch my lips with it's icy cold goodness... Yes I am off Dr. Pepper... (oh, better pick your jaw off the floor again). I was down to one a day and still felt like the baby way overly active so my choice was to cut sweets and the yummy goodness in the beautiful maroon can. The sweets where easy! The soda was harder but I made it though.... (Dear Dr. Pepper I will see you again my lovely in about 90 days. I'm sorry if you are feeling lonely in the store but know that my love for you is forever and I will hold you to my lips once again.)
It made a big difference and the baby... still active, he does not keep my tummy churning. He's still there (and lets me know it when he kicks the breath out of me) but a much calmer "there".

No More Passie!

Ava is such a big girl now it's hard to believe that's she's only 2. In the short time we have lived in Colorado she has accomplished so many things.
We moved to Colorado in September by October she potty trained herself! She was sleeping in her own room and big bed through the night. By November she started sleeping in panties, I haven't bought diapers since and she's never wet the bed! She dresses herself and puts on her socks and shoes, she can spell her name, count to 15, and is the comedian of the house.
But she has had a stupid attachment to a little piece of plastic and silicone since our move... "The Passie" it goes everywhere and forgetting it would cause havoc in the store or restaurant.
HIP HIP HURRAY!!! HIP HIP HURRAY!!!

The passie is gone as of February 12th 2009!!! She lost her last one and I told her I can't buy you more.. if I buy more they will be different and ONLY for baby Dean. She took her nap without "it".. (huge!) then that night she didn't even ask for it!
I wash my hands of you once and for all passie!!! Yeah!!!!!
(if you could see me I'm doing my happy dance right now)
I love you tons Ava and It's amazing how much you have grown I'm so excited to see what 3 brings!!! (March 30, 2009)

Bowl-a-rama!

For family night we took the girls bowling
they had so much fun that this morning
Ava wasn't even awake 5 minutes before asking
can we go bowling again today?!
So READY?.....
Let's BOWL!!

Shea scored a 90!

Ava was an awesome bowler!
She scored a 99!

Ava however is very competitive!
She was very hard on herself if she
missed even one pin....
she would lay on the floor
and pout til her next turn if she missed
any pins.

here's Ava punishing herself for
not getting a spare! She's 2
and already has my
competitive nature.
