tiny, sweet bird flew the coop today

Today August 30th 2010 my baby daughter started preschool. I'm in tears, why didn't I cry
when Shea left? Because she is sassy and tough and so mature that when she started I knew it was time for her to spread her wings and fly.
The tears today are because my sweet Ava has now spread her wings to fly and I think maybe she should still be baking in the egg. Ava is tender hearted, sweet to her core, loving, and 35lbs soaking wet. (a bully's dream).
Dear Ava,
I'm missing you so much but you could not get out of the arms fast enough to start Miss Bonnie's preschool. So goodbye to my morning snuggles and cartoon buddy, I hope it's everything you wanted. I love you... I'll see you in T minus 97 minutes!
xoxo, momma

For the Love Of ME!

Yesterday while my son was asleep and my husband was home sick I took myself out on the town. I spoiled myself something good!
First I went to Book Lovers (a wonderful used book store) and walked around for an hour exploring all the sections with my favorite authors, finding a treasure trove of books I've wanted to read.
As I was walking up to the register with my wonderful finds I got all excited inside to tell the lady my name because I knew I had credit and these books would be frrreeeee!
What bliss fell over me walking out of the store with not 1 but 4 new adventures in my hands.

That's not all..... I went on with my alone afternoon and headed over to Target. I love not grabbing a cart, not having to buckle anyone in, and just walking around with no purpose. After browsing the clearance racks (why would you ever pay full price for clothes?) I came upon the DVD section... Another treasure chest! (If you know me you know I love movies)

There it was gleaming there on the shelf The Back Up Plan.. it was screaming "buy me buy me you know you want to! I made you laugh out loud at the theater and you talked about me for a few hours after, still laughing!"
So what can I say the DVD flew off the shelf into my hands and off to the cash register I went.

Still more spoiling for ol' Ang! On my way home I stopped by Sonic Happy Hour and got myself a route 44 Dr. Pepper, extra ice... for 99 cents!

What a wonderful day for the LOVE OF JUST ME!!

Sweet Baby Blues

This is not a normal post for me but I have to do it because it's what I'm thinking about right now. So have you seen White Collar? Love this show, it has wit and smarts that keeps you interested. It also have some amazing eye candy by the name of Matt Bomer. He is my new crush! (and in my age range so Kevin doesn't make fun of me).

Does he look familiar?? You might remember him from Chuck as Bryce or Tru's cute BF from Tru Calling , but even if you've never seen either of those shows you have to admit what a hottie! Look at those sweet baby blues!
He can charm my pants off any day. (did I say pants I meant socks...charm my socks off any day, yea that's what I meant)

His star is most defiantly on the rise.

Monday Minute with a daily scoop of chaos

Every time I read a fun blog of my friend Jen's over at adailyscoopofchaos I wish I could blog alone. But for one reason or another I'm unable to play along. Today I'm playing along with the Monday Minute, join in to if you'd like.

Here are the Monday Minute Questions.....

What's your favorite 80's movie?
ANYTHING John Cusack (I still see everything he makes!) Love "Say Anything" and "Better Off Dead"

Genre of music you wish you could ban?
What ever the music is that is loud with screaming and the boys wear jeans tighter than mine, and have longer better styled hair than me :)

All time favorite candy?
This is a hard one for me. I love redvines and sour bites and a candy I loved that they no longer make is the peanut butter and jelly M&M's.

How flawed is your driving record?
Well is was amazingly perfect until I drove 11 hours in a car with 3 kids one of them 4 months old (screaming the last 2 hours)... then I got pulled over for speeding (trying to get there) 16mph over the limit. However after to cop heard Dean screaming in the back he reduced the ticket to 5 over.

What was your High School mascot?
GO LOBOS!!

What color socks are you wearing right now?
None! I hate socks. I don't even sleep under sheets I have my own blanket so I can sleep with my feet sticking out the bottom. (TMI??)

Now that was fun thanks Jen!

Book Club, wanna be in on it??

A friend and I are starting a book club. We are going to pick a book once a month, and meet at the end of the month to talk about it. I thought I'd invite all of you my "online" friends to join in on the discussion if you'd like to be apart of this....

The 1st book is The Girl who Could Fly by Victoria Forester.

I thought that after I meet with my "in town" friends I could tell you some of the things that were said and you all could tell us your comments, thoughts, and feelings too.
Come join us if this sounds like a good time to you.

Happy reading!

What the ? Is that real?

Yes it is and it is just sitting there in my parents yard!

Yes those are real Deer!!!!

On a short trip over to my parents house (in a regular neighborhood not tucked in the mountains) to pick up a few scrapbook items, we got out of the truck only to see this deer staring at us. "KIDS stay in the truck!". Wow we couldn't believe it so we ran in the house to get our stuff and I look out my old bedroom window and there's ANOTHER one!! Just sitting staring at me! AAAHHHHHH!
This had to be one of the craziest real live things I've ever seen. Yes I've been to the mountains and with squinted eyes seen a black bear eating berries off a bush, or seen an elk running off in a Field, but this is in town in the yard where I played hide and seek, had sleepovers on the trampoline, and got married. HOW CRAZY IS THAT??

"school is awesome!"

I have a 1st grader..wow that's crazy to think about! Shea love school and her new teacher (Mrs. Ryan) today she came running to where I pick her up. I saw her coming and had to snap this picture.
Shea: "MOM!, school is so awesome!" As she is running to the car. This image is stuck in my head and every time I'm feeling a little down I can think of this moment and smile.

Finger Lickin'

Just about to finish reading Finger Lickin' Fifteen and was day dreaming about what it would be like to have two hot blooded men chasing me around. Does this really happen in "real life"?
What I would give to live in this paper world for a couple nights. How would your life be if you had...One Latin man who's dark and dangerous with commitment issues and one Italian man that's flirty, law abiding and domesticated. Both loving you and treating you like the sexiest women they've ever met.
HOW MUCH FUN WOULD THAT BE???
I had to write about this because for the last 2 weeks at night my dreams have been steamed up by Morelli and Ranger, and I needed to pull the release valve............. steam away ladies, I am! :)

Tweenties Girl

I finished reading a book that was given to me for my birthday by my lovely sister the Opinionated Baroness. It is called Twenties Girl by Sophia Kinsella. It took me a while to really dive into it because I was still coming off the high of re-reading Eclipse (preparing for the movie). However, once I did get into the juicy bits I found myself uplifted and my heart filled with hope and joy. I also had many dreams about it and woke up feeling like I was really back in the twenties. The idea of this book made me feel wonderful, wondering what would it be like to spend time with a dead relative, hear their stories, see the way they looked in their glory days. It is quite a beautiful thought.
I've read a few of Sophia's works and although my sister and friend Amanda might yell at me after this I did not enjoy the shop-a-holic books. (loved the movie but that's because it didn't even resemble to book).
Another of Sophia's books I've read is Undomestic Goddess I did love this one but it just didn't affect me the way Twenties Girl did.

So my question for you is... Have you read a book that sends you to bed to dream of a wonderful place? Of an opportunity you wish you could experience? Or a love affair? (it's not cheating it's a dream) "wink wink".

His is not just great insight for me into my online friends lives but also a great opportunity for my Amazon account and to add to the stack of books on my night stand.
