Crazy FUN weekend

Woke up and was very sad we haven't done any fun things for Christmas... so you have to give me credit, I shoved it all into one day (Kevin's day off)....

First we got all dressed up in our best Christmas dresses so we would look the part for our activities!

Then we stood in a long line, but it was worth it cuz we got to see Santa and it was great! Dean got his 1st Christmas present from Santa... a little red bell from Santa's sleigh with gold string on it for the tree. The kids could not have been happier!

After a very healthy lunch at the mall (just french fries)

We went to The Princess and the Frog!

It was so good! Even Dean enjoyed the music and sat in his car seat the whole time shaking his feet! For those of you who have not seen it FYI the fireflies are my absolute favorite!

In the lobby they had these big chipmunks to advertise the squeakual! BTW Dean loves the 1st one he sits in his jump-a-roo and fully belly laughs when we watch it..jumping so hard he almost launches himself right out of it.

There was a preview for it and he was laughing in the theater..there was an old couple next to us who just loved watching him watch the preview!

I took lots of pictures but this is my FAV!

After a roast dinner (I thought that was fitting with the days activities) we put together an awesome foam gingerbread house while watching the premier of Santa Baby 2 on the family channel. We have ornaments to make too but we'll save those for another day!

The finished product! Pretty darn cool if you ask me I've got some talented girls!

The biggest problem with shoving it all into one day is the kids did not go to bed til 1030pm and it was hard getting Shea up for school and Ava was a cranky pants all day...but I still think it was worth it.

Hope you all have tons of fun this Christmas season too!

At least someones enjoying it!

It is currently 6 degrees outside (2pm in the afternoon) on Sunday we got 9 inches of snow, they are predicting another 4 inches tonight. Last night the temp outside (while feeding the dogs) was 1 degree yes that reads right 1 degree!
However, no matter how cold it is I have 2 little girls that are willing to load themselves into snow pants, boots, coats, gloves, and hats to go roll around in it for an HOUR now! (and still out there with no sign of coming in)

the girls wanted to pose with the snowman next door since the snow isn't wet enough to make their own
"SNOW POWDER FIGHT!"

SNOW ANGELS, a must

Did I mention it's 6 degrees!

The first picture is of our new house...and I guess for Colorado it's beginning to look alot like Christmas. I'm very proud of myself cuz I'm the one who climbed on the roof and hung lights (picture to come) this year.

Hope your season is looking alot like Christmas for you and yours (even if it's palm trees with lit up trunks)

Christma-fied

Love when I have everything up...new this year my village....

My mom has as long as I can remember these beautiful villages up during Christmas time. When I was little I loved the Mexican missions, and told her if she ever was tired of them I want them...this year she gifted them to me! I still need to get some trees and maybe add a hill but I'm so excited to have these in my home

Fireplace shmire-place

Love our tree and the mish-mash of ornaments and the lower 4 ft of witch fully decorated by 2 SUPER Christmas spirits
